1. Northeast Coast – Fulong New Year’s Dawn
Fulong is decorated romantically and features performances by popular bands. At 4 AM on New Year’s Day, the stage performances kick off. This event invites “Shuang Band,” “Wind Music Records,” “Control T Band” to perform, along with the dazzling dance performance by “Spinning Flame” and the energizing taiko drumming by the Gongliao Junior High School Taiko Team, heating up the atmosphere to its peak.Time: January 1, 2018, 03:30

2. Alishan – Sunrise Impression Concert
At the “Alishan Sunrise Impression Concert,” visitors can experience a moment of spiritual calm and inspiration amidst the melodious music as they greet the first light of the new year. The concert features a symphony orchestra accompanied by renowned tenors and sopranos, delivering a “triple high” (high altitude, high quality, high standard) musical event at the Gaoyue Viewing Platform. (Limited edition exquisite gifts available on-site). Alishan Forest Railway “New Year’s Dawn Viewing Train” Tickets:From December 30 to January 1 of the following year, the Chiayi–Fenchihu route operates two round trips of the Alishan Limited Express and one round trip of the Zhongxing Local Train daily. Tickets for the limited express train (excluding cruise-style trains) are expected to go on sale online starting at 6 AM on Friday, December 15.
Return trips of the Zhushan Dawn Viewing Train are divided into Time Slot A and Time Slot B, and you can choose either time slot to return. Up to 840 group visitors can be pre-booked per time slot. Group reservations (for groups of 30 or more) are expected to open for phone bookings starting at 9 AM on December 12. General visitors can purchase tickets in person at the Alishan Station ticket office on the first floor from 1 PM to 5:30 PM on December 31, with a limit of 10 tickets per person and sold out when exhausted.
In addition, to accommodate travelers heading to Zhushan on New Year’s Day to greet the first light of dawn, the forest railway’s Zhushan Dawn Viewing Train will start operating at 1:50 AM. A total of 16 departures are planned for the outbound journey, but only 10 departures (until 4:25 AM) will accept group reservations (groups of 30 or more), with 210 seats available per departure.

3. Nantou – Jinchilun Mountain Golden Dragon Sunrise in Sun Moon Lake
Visitors can first join the New Year’s Eve fireworks party at Sun Moon Lake and then head to Jinchilun Mountain to welcome the stunning sunrise, enjoying views such as sea of clouds, glazed light, and the first light of dawn.
