New Secret Spot for Stunning Bald Cypress Photos – Scenery as if Watercolor Painted the Forest Red

Located near the Xintian Mountain Hiking Trail in Tanzi District, Taichung, a new secret spot featuring bald cypress trees has emerged. The dense and lush cypresses have turned red, and from a distance, they look like watercolor hues painting part of the forest red — a spectacular and beautiful sight. This estate is private land, but visitors can admire the overlapping yellow, green, and red cypresses from afar. The distribution of hundreds of trees presents a breathtaking sense of layering.

The Xintian Hiking Trail is a 2-kilometer-long mountain path equipped with 1,063 wooden steps, winding along the mountainside. In addition to several viewpoints, a specially added eagle-watching platform offers views of the Fengyuan area. It’s a great spot for both locals and visitors to enjoy leisurely hikes on weekdays and holidays.
