The打卡 hotspot COMMUNE A7 container market, located in Taipei's Xinyi District, was a brand-new venue that combined leisure, dining, and gathering spaces. After one year of operation, it will close at the end of January, making way for the construction of a newskyscraper.

The site will be redeveloped into a new skyscraper, Taipei Sky Tower, which will become a new landmark for a mixed-use mall and hotel, set to be completed in 2020. Taipei Sky Tower is planned to feature a dual-brand international hotel, including a flagship shopping district, innovative dining options, and performance spaces.

Taipei Sky Tower invited seven top global architectural firms from London, New York, Milan, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and elsewhere to propose design plans. The design focuses on creating an iconic skyscraper that complements the Taipei 101 building.
