Taoyuan’s new attraction “Xinxikou Suspension Bridge” took over three years of planning, reconstruction, and renovation before opening for reservations and launch in January. The bridge spans 303 meters, making it the longest suspension bridge in Taiwan. The original Xikou Suspension Bridge was demolished due to aging infrastructure in 2015 and replaced with the new bridge, connecting Jiaobanshan and Xikou Plateau while spanning the Dahan River.

The bridge began accepting reservations from the afternoon of January 6th, with on-site ticket collection, and officially opened on January 13th alongside the “2018 Luofu Hot Spring Food Festival.” The bridge has a daily limit of 2,800 crossings, with adult tickets priced at NT$100 and discounted tickets at NT$70. Those eligible for free entry must make a reservation in advance.

Free admission applies to residents registered in Fuxing District, children under 6 years old, seniors aged 65 and above, individuals with disabilities holding a disability card along with one accompanying person, as well as personnel on official business or conducting official duties — all must present valid identification to qualify for free entry.
