Not just a magical sandbox for families – a new destination for fun with waterfront views and colorful walls

Shizitou Island now has a new attraction to offer in addition to cycling around the island and exploring the ecological wetlands. A newly built sandbox, basketball court, and waterfront plaza under the bridge have transformed the area under Shizitou Bridge into a great weekend getaway.

Near Shizitou Bridge, a new magical sandbox has recently been added, featuring sea creatures such as sea lions and turtles – making it a perfect recreational spot for family outings. Newly built bird’s nest seats on the grass provide a resting place for both adults and children. The path leading up passes through lush green lawns and terraced landscape stones, while the bow-view platform at the Sunlight Waterfront Plaza combines views of Shizitou Bridge and Yangmingshan. Standing at the bow feels like a movie scene – not only can you enjoy the sunset, but also take in the waterfront views and feel the gentle breeze.

Additionally, the basketball sports plaza under Shizitou Bridge, located outside the embankment at the Shizitou Island end of the bridge, has made a fresh comeback. The surrounding embankment walls feature a basketball theme, using three-dimensional murals to depict dynamic scenes such as layups and dunks, vividly presenting the movements seen on the basketball court and creating a more immersive experience for those playing here.
