The world’s most beautiful Tsutaya Books has sparked a craze in Japan and Taiwan, with its multifunctional reading spaces becoming the latest travel landmarks. Located on the sixth floor of Bangkok’s luxury department store Central Embassy, it also features a multifunctional reading space called “Open House,” designed by the team behind Tokyo’s Tsutaya Books. The stunning space and decor embody the concept of an urban oasis.

Open House is a two-story open-plan space that includes not only floor-to-ceiling bookshelves but also eight cross-disciplinary zones such as a restaurant, bar, art gallery, café, and co-working space, catering to diverse needs so visitors can easily spend the whole day here without getting bored.
The mall offers expansive views, and its decor is also cutting-edge, featuring a wooden relief tower and a white giant tower planter that blend greenery with fashion. The two-story bookshelf houses over 20,000 books and magazines, while the white mega tower beneath the atrium holds a hidden surprise — a small art exhibition space inside, with display shelves wrapping around its exterior facade.
