The cherry blossom season is gradually arriving, and aside from enjoying the beauty of cherry blossoms during the day, their enchanting appearance under nighttime lighting is equally captivating. There are several great spots to enjoy night blossoms across Taiwan, including Taipei’s Living Park and Nantou’s Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village. The pink cherry blossoms take on a different charm under the evening lights, allowing you to enjoy the view without flying all the way to Japan.

1. Taipei – Neihu Living Park
Located in Neihu District, Living Park is a well-known spot for cherry blossom viewing in Taipei. It features a 3-kilometer-long cherry blossom path, and last year, the Public Works Bureau installed 32 street lamps along the trail, making it a newly popular destination for night blossom viewing. The park is situated by Neihu's Neigou Stream, with a wide variety of cherry blossom species. Around the Lunar New Year each year, the first area’s upper level sees hundreds of Taiwan cherry trees bloom first, gradually shifting from pale pink to deep pink and crimson—delicately beautiful and stunning.

2. Taichung – Wuling Farm
Wuling Farm is one of Taiwan’s top cherry blossom destinations, attracting tens of thousands of visitors every blossom season. During the day, the farm is surrounded by a pink sea of flowers, creating a stunningly picturesque scene. When night falls and the blossoms are lit up, the views against the starry sky become incredibly romantic and beautiful.

3. Nantou – Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village
Central Taiwan’s largest cherry blossom destination, Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, boasts over 5,000 cherry trees that begin blooming one after another starting in late January. During the day, you can admire the cherry blossoms, ride a traditional Japanese rickshaw, dress up in yukata, or take the Sun Moon Lake transparent cable car. The village also offers the best night blossom views in Taiwan, making it a highlight of the annual blossom season.
