The Chiayi Taibao Flower Sea Festival is known as Taiwan's Provence or Hokkaido’s colorful flower fields. It grandly kicks off around February each year, attracting a large number of flower-viewing tourists. In addition to admiring the vibrant flower seas, visitors can also explore nearby attractions, including the Taiwan Lantern Festival, or even plan a one- to two-day trip to go out for spring outings and photos during the holiday.

1. Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum
The Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum boasts the rich collections of the Palace Museum and various international exhibitions, actively showcasing the museum’s functions in collection, exhibition, research, preservation, and education. In addition to its bright glass-curtain-wall main building, there is also the “Zhi Mei Bridge” with its double-arched bridge deck panels, blending elements such as the lake and elegant bridges, offering the subtle beauty of traditional Chinese landscape paintings.

2. Hinoki Forest Life Village
Covering an area of about 3.4 hectares, the Hinoki Forest Life Village preserves traditional Japanese architecture. Walking into this village feels like stepping back into a bygone era of historical splendor. The park has renovated and repurposed early dormitories and official residences of Japanese staff using traditional Japanese construction techniques, integrating them into a new hub for forestry culture, art, tourism, and entertainment.
