Areas such as Sanzhi Shallow Bay, Keelung’s Heping Island, and Badouzi are all great spots to enjoy the sea. Travelers might want to add the following attractions to their list and plan a trip to the North Coast during the holidays.

1. Isabella Beach Café
Located next to Baishawan, Isabella Beach Café features a Mediterranean style of interwoven blue and white, giving off an exotic Greek vibe. Not only can you enjoy the stunning sea view, but you can also dine and ride in a pure white boat in a specially designed waterscape area, as if in a romantic drama scene.

2. VILLA SUGAR
VILLA SUGAR, created by a renowned designer and located in the prime spot of Shallow Bay, has a ground floor that houses a top-tier café. It combines an elegant and serene indoor coffee space with an open-air seating area overlooking the natural seascape. With soft music playing, it helps you relax completely.

3. Heping Island Park
Heping Island Park was once selected as one of the world’s 21 most beautiful sunrise viewing spots. After reopening in 2018, it has become a popular hidden gem for admiring breathtaking sea views and sunrises.

Summer period (May–September each year) – 08:00–18:00
Winter period (October–April each year) – 08:00–17:00
Public Transport – Take Keelung City Bus No. 101 and get off at “Heping Island Park Station.” Walk about 5 minutes to reach the park.
Driving – Freeway No. 1: Exit at Keelung Interchange, go straight along Zhongzheng Road, turn left onto Zhengbin Road, continue over Heping Bridge, then go straight along He Yi Road, turn right onto Pingyi Road to arrive.

4. Wangyou Valley Coastal Trail
The hidden gem of Wangyou Valley means standing atop and gazing down at the green valley, which helps one forget all worries. Walking along the Badeozi Coastal Park trail, you can gaze far across the sea to Keelung Islet. At night, you can also enjoy the twinkling fishing lights on the sea and the illuminated mountain city of Jiufen. 

Transportation: Freeway No. 1 → Nuannuan Interchange → Highway 62 towards Shen’ao → Provincial Highway 2 towards Badeozi → Pinglang Bridge → National Museum of Marine Science and Technology → Bade Street → Yugang 3rd Street → Yugang 1st Street → Badeozi Oil Depot.
