The launch of the Yangmingshan Flower Festival has attracted a large number of domestic and international tourists eager to admire the blossoms, with nearly 3,200 various cherry trees across the area being the highlight of this season. But besides the popular pink cherry blossoms that are stunningly in full bloom in spring, at Lakehill Green Space near Yangmingshan Park, there are also nearly 8,000 fragrant daffodils that have burst into a magnificent sea of blooms. This year’s Yangmingshan Flower Festival runs until March 25, and during the 32-day event, themed attractions throughout Yangmingshan Park—including the Flower Clock, fountains, cherry blossom groves, the visitor center, and the statue of Wang Yangming—are adorned with various blooming flowers. The two main highlight flowers of the annual festival are the over 8,000 daffodils by the pond at Lakehill Green Space and the delicate pink Yoshino cherry blossoms in front of the visitor service center. Recently, the Chinese daffodils in Lakehill Green Space have quietly begun to bloom, filling the air with their rich fragrance. The combination of green hills, clear waters, and the elegant, fragrant white daffodils offers a serene contrast to the vibrant and bustling Yangmingshan Park, creating a tranquil hidden paradise.

Across Yangmingshan, there are nearly 3,200 various cherry trees, including mountain cherries, yaezakura, Showa cherries, and Yoshino cherries, which bloom in succession like a relay race. In addition to cherry blossoms, azaleas, daffodils, wild Hydrangea paniculata, and yellow babystars are also beginning to bloom abundantly.
