1. Galaxy Cave Waterfall – A Hidden Paradise Off the Beaten Path
Located on the mountainside at the border of Xinpu and Muzha, about 200 meters above sea level, Galaxy Cave Waterfall is a hidden gem with a drop of approximately 40 meters. The year-round waterfall offers a refreshing escape in spring and summer, resembling a hidden paradise amidst the city.

Galaxy Cave is a cavern formed within an inward-facing mountain wall, with a small temple dedicated to Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy) inside. The cave walls bear the inscription "A World Apart." The hiking trail along Galaxy Cave is lush and pleasant, making it an easy and popular route for outdoor enthusiasts.
Getting There from Xinpu MRT Station:
Take Xinpu Bus (Pinglin Line) and get off at “Galaxy Cave” stop on Beiyi Road
Take Xinpu Bus 647, 650, or Green 5 to the terminal “Zhongsheng Bridge” and get off
Walk uphill along Beiyi Road for about 10 minutes, take a big turn, then walk about 25 minutes along the opposite Galaxy Road to reach the Galaxy Cave trailhead.
From the Maokong direction: Get off at “Zihu Station” via Brown 15 or Small 10 Bus, then head toward Galaxy Cave
By car: From Xinpu MRT Station on Beixin Road → Opposite No. 458, Section 2, Beiyi Road → Galaxy Road → Galaxy Cave Trailhead

2. Green Cube – A Scenic Cafe
Green Cube Leisure Farm features a garden reminiscent of a European castle, not far from the Galaxy Ridge Hiking Trail. Its classic red-brick building at the mountaintop, paired with sweeping mountain views, creates a relaxing dining atmosphere. The farm’s European-style architecture and ambiance also attract many visitors for photos.
