In Japan, many trams often collaborate with famous cartoon characters to launch limited-edition train designs. Previously, Seibu Railway teamed up with Gudetama to introduce a limited “Smiling Tram,” and now Hankyu Railway has joined forces with the wildly popular Snoopy to launch the “Snoopy & Friends” decorated tram. Its cute appearance has won over fans, drawing attention as soon as the news broke.

Back in October 2016, Hankyu Railway’s first collaboration with Snoopy sparked enthusiastic online discussion, and this year they’re releasing the second edition – the “Snoopy & Friends” tram. Not only does it feature a brand-new front-end design, but the exterior and interior are also adorned with Snoopy and his friends, turning the entire tram into a cartoon-like world that’s incredibly fun.

The “Snoopy & Friends” tram began operating on March 24, 2018. Hankyu Railway’s lines — the Kobe Line, Kyoto Line, and Takarazuka Line — each have one Snoopy tram running. The “Snoopy & Friends” tram will be in service until August 31, 2018. If you’re traveling to Kansai during this period, be sure to catch a glimpse of the Snoopy tram.
