Located in Songshan District, Taipei, Silo No. 1 was repurposed from Taipei’s first grain silo during the Japanese colonial period. Built in 1944, Silo No. 1 originally served as Taipei’s wartime grain storage facility during World War II, making it highly significant historically. In 2012, the Taipei City Government launched the “Old Buildings Cultural Movement Plan,” entrusting the revitalization and transformation of abandoned historic buildings to private entities. As a result, Silo No. 1 reemerged with a completely renewed look.

The ground floor of the building houses the Lepu Hui Nong branded supermarket, which showcases Taiwan’s award-winning agricultural products. The second floor is home to Silo No. 1, which has earned Michelin’s official favor. By combining these local champion agricultural products with Taiwan’s diverse culinary heritage across different eras, the venue has transformed into a uniquely styled creative cuisine restaurant.
