Aside from the white calla lilies of Yangmingshan’s Zhuzihu and the colorful ones in Taoyuan, you can also enjoy the vivid beauty of a sea of yellow calla lilies at the so-called “Zhuzihu of Taichung”—Waipu’s yellow calla lily fields. The bright golden blooms captivate passersby, prompting them to stop for photos and admiration.

Located near Shuitou First and Second Roads at No. 38 Jiayou Road in Waipu, there is a roughly 600-ping yellow calla lily field. This Taichung flower farmer has successfully cultivated yellow calla lilies, attracting numerous visitors daily during the blooming season for photos, and the site is open to the public for free.

The common white calla lilies found in Zhuzihu are marsh-type, while Waipu’s are land-grown, colorful yellow ones. Although Waipu’s calla lily fields may not be as grand as those in Yangmingshan’s Zhuzihu, they bloom just as brilliantly and are especially dazzling under sunlight.
In addition to admiring the vast golden yellow calla lilies in Waipu, visitors can also explore nearby Leofoo Village. Especially during the Qingming school holiday for kids, the park offers a special “Magic Leofoo Kids’ World” promotion, allowing adults to enjoy the children’s rate of NT$499 (original full-price ticket: NT$750).
