Adults are rushing to grab them too – McDonald’s Children’s Day toys feature Rilakkuma plushies

After the previous McDonald’s x Rilakkuma collaboration featuring a series of Happy Meal toys received an overwhelmingly positive response from fans, McDonald’s Japan recently launched a 15th-anniversary animal costume series of Rilakkuma toys that have become a hit among local fans, with the popularity even leading to Taiwanese travelers purchasing them through proxies. Now, McDonald’s Taiwan is also jumping on the bandwagon just before Children’s Day with an event – the full line-up of Happy Meals features a new Rilakkuma toy each week, with the second wave of the Rilakkuma series now here!

To coincide with Children’s Day, McDonald’s Taiwan has refreshed the “McDonald’s Happy Meal – A New Toy Each Week” campaign, introducing four new Rilakkuma toys as part of the second wave, along with a new Thomas the Tank Engine series. Among the Rilakkuma toys, two are the same as those in the 15th-anniversary animal costume series previously launched in Japan, so fans who want to collect them no longer need to go to Japan or search for proxies – they’re available right here in Taiwan!

To collect the full new series of Happy Meal toys, besides getting one with every Happy Meal purchase, customers can also add on a toy to any regular meal set for just NT$49. Fans of Rilakkuma or Thomas the Tank Engine shouldn’t miss out!
