Every spring, besides admiring the delicate beauty of pink cherry blossoms, crimson trumpet trees are also a must-see seasonal highlight. Along the riverside near Zhongzheng High School in Kaohsiung, rows of these trees are romantically in full bloom, complemented by the beautiful riverside scenery, making it the most picturesque spot along Kaohsiung’s riverbanks. Strolling here feels like stepping into an idol drama scene.

Pink pathways paired with scenic riverside views
The trumpet tree blossoms resemble a cluster of silk balls hanging from the treetops. When fully bloomed, the view is vibrant and lively, attracting visitors to stop and admire or take photos. Trumpet trees come in peach-red, golden-yellow, and pink-crimson varieties, often planted separately along roadsides and in parks across various districts. From around Lunar New Year to April each year, different sections and areas bloom in succession.
