Japan’s Michelin one-star teppanyaki restaurant UKAI TEI rose to prominence after hosting U.S. President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe along with their wives for dinner during Trump’s visit to Japan. Aside from being available at HowToTrip's Grand Formosa Regent Kaohsiung, UKAI TEI’s Taiwan branch will also open a new location in northern Taiwan in Q4 2018.

The Yumin Group, which operates HowToTrip's Grand Formosa Regent Kaohsiung, announced a signing agreement with UKAI’s parent company. The two parties have also partnered with Breeze Group to enter the new department store “Taipei Breeze Nan Shan” in Xinyi District, with plans to open in Q4 2018. By then, foodies in northern Taiwan will also be able to savor the unique flavors of the world’s only Michelin-certified teppanyaki.
