A vast colorful sea of flowers park — a new urban hotspot for flower-viewing and photo ops

Taoyuan not only has many flower farms in the suburbs where you can enjoy blooming flowers, but the city area also features a colorful sea of flowers park. Located on Cimin Road, Fenghe Park once hosted a Driftwood Art Festival in 2017, showcasing a variety of large driftwood art installations. This year, it has created a dog-themed floral display to celebrate the Year of the Dog, attracting visitors eager to take photos and check in.

Originally designed as a disaster-prevention park, the municipal government revitalized Fenghe Park’s landscape and leisure functions by adding facilities such as slides, barrier-free walking paths, and an amphitheater. At the same time, they developed a water-friendly greenbelt, using 500,000 potted flowers to create dog-themed “Prosperity” floral displays across three parks: Fenghe Park in Taoyuan, Fuxing Parent-Child Park in Pingzhen District, and Puding Park in Daxi District.

Among them, Fenghe Park’s design is shaped like a Ruyi (scepter), using red, gold, and arcs to symbolize fulfillment and good fortune; Pingzhen Fuxing Parent-Child Park features a cat-themed floral display designed in the shape of pink paw prints; while Daxi Puding Park’s floral concept is based on a kaleidoscope.

Aside from enjoying the floral displays, Fenghe Park also offers unique slides, an amphitheater, and large driftwood art pieces that enhance the colorful beauty of the flower fields.
