Every year on May 18th is International Museum Day, and countries all over the world respond by offering special exhibitions and discounts. In Taiwan this year, apart from the National Palace Museum being the first to announce free admission on International Museum Day, museums and art galleries across the country have also joined in the celebration, offering activities such as free entry and special performances. This gives people a new option to appreciate culture and art during holidays, besides outdoor activities.
