15-color IG-worthy photo hotspot — Summer edition of the Color Gallery

No worries if you didn’t make it to the most eye-catching photo exhibition at the start of this year. The 2018’s most photogenic Instagram spot, the “Color Gallery,” has come to Kaohsiung. It uses everyday, vivid colors to create diverse, lifelike scenes where you can not only take photos and check in, but also spark unlimited imagination about colors.

From June 9 to August 26, 2018, the “Color Gallery” bursts into color at the 4th and 5th Special Exhibition Halls of the National Science and Technology Museum. With color as its theme, it reinterprets 15 daily life scenes through 15 hues, boldly breaking conventional impressions of everyday life.

From a white bedroom in the morning, to a pink walk-in closet for getting ready, stopping by a yellow breakfast shop to recharge, taking a sky-blue metro to your destination, and continuing on to a purple garden, an orange ice cream parlor, a vivid betel nut stand, and even a gravity-defying moonlit space — this dreamy journey is paired with trendy pick-up lines and little mood quotes, offering an unimaginably imaginative creative space that will have you snapping photos non-stop.

This iteration of the “Color Gallery” differs from the Taipei stop earlier in the year, featuring uniquely designed scenes tailored for hot southern Taiwan. Combining elements of Taiwan’s distinctive betel nut stand culture with colorful accents, dazzling lights, and the playful, glamorous design of transparent displays, it showcases a warm, human touch and exuberant hospitality.
