As summer vacation arrives, various parts of Taiwan have launched family-friendly activities, inviting both kids and adults to enjoy the lively season together. This year, Taoyuan’s Taimall Shopping Center has teamed up with the super-cute Finnish elf Moomin to present the large-scale themed installation exhibition “Moomin’s Summer Journey.”

Located in southern Taoyuan, Taimall Shopping Center has, over the years, collaborated with popular cartoon characters to launch limited-time exhibitions tied to holidays. Following exhibitions featuring SpongeBob, Disney, and Hello Kitty starting in 2013, this summer it partners with Moomin for a new installation display.

The Moomin-themed installation exhibition kicks off on June 6 and runs through July 2. Visitors of all ages can not only take photos with Moomin character plush toys but also shop and enjoy food within the mall, making for a full day of fun.

Moomin hails from Nordic Finnish fairy tales and enjoys high popularity in Japan, even having themed cafés there. At Taimall’s Moomin-themed café, even the surrounding shops are decked out in pastel tones.
