The nostalgic Pingxi Line area boasts abundant ecological resources and heartwarming hands-on experiences. On the old streets, you can see trains passing overhead on bridges and alongside you, along with traditional candy shops, snack stalls, and sky lantern craft stores exuding a strong vintage charm.

1. Wanggu Station – Wanggu Waterfall
Wanggu Station is the most mysterious train station on the Pingxi Line. Most visitors stop at Shenmu, Pingxi, and Fenchihu stations, and fewer spend time at Wanggu. Ever since netizens and photography enthusiasts captured Ghibli-like scenery here, it has become a popular filming spot.

About 15 minutes' walk from Wanggu Station along the Wanggu Waterfall Trail will take you to the Wanggu Waterfall cluster. This trail is part of the historic Wanggu Ancient Path, renovated by New Taipei City’s Tourism Bureau, making it perfect for exploring with family and loved ones.

2. Lingjiao Station – Tsai Family Mansion
The bay-style platform of Lingjiao Station is quite picturesque, and it has been featured in many TV dramas. The area contains numerous historical sites, including coal transport facilities, a Japanese-era mining dormitory museum, and the Tsai Family Mansion, all rich in historical character. There's also the Lingjiao Liao Hiking Trail, where you can enjoy diverse natural landscapes.

The Tsai Family Mansion behind Lingjiao Station is a beautiful red-brick building that has been used as a filming location for many TV dramas. With its arched veranda and spacious courtyard, it’s ideal for shooting scenes with a nostalgic 1930s–40s vibe.
