Everyone must have a Tatung electric cooker at home, and it can be used to whip up all kinds of dishes, making it a true household helper. But in Taichung’s Bapuyi Workshop, they’ve actually put ice cream inside an electric cooker—and not just any ice cream, but bright red ice cream standing upright inside. Isn’t it afraid of melting?

▲ The shop creates limited-edition ice creams based on the season and special holidays. The Kenting-style ice cream even comes with flip-flops—super youthful.
It turns out this is a specially made electric cooker ice cream by the shop, usingthe iconic design of a Tatung electric cooker as the base, then adding ice cream, crackers, macarons, marshmallows, and other toppings to create a genuine "electric cooker ice cream". Its cute appearance has everyone reaching for their cameras as soon as it’s served, making it a true "film killer." Beyond its electric cooker look, the ice cream itself is the highlight. The shop uses seasonal fruits to make the ice cream, so the flavors change with the seasons, aiming to offer customers the freshest experience possible. Currently, the star is pitaya (dragon fruit)—a vividly red pitaya ice cream that not only boosts your appetite with its eye-catching color but also cools you down with its sweet taste.

▲ The shop’s popular cracker item, when made into an egg roll shape, has attracted even more customers.
Bapuyi Workshop itself is themed around Taiwanese rural style, hoping to evoke childhood memories through its ambiance and familiar items. The electric cooker ice was born from this concept. Additionally, you can’t miss the shop’s signature crackers. Customers are given a plate to freely scoop the shop’s famous crackers, which come in six flavors:original, oolong tea, honey, coffee, sesame, and seaweed. Made purely with fresh milk and free from artificial flavorings or chemical dyes, the goal is to let people enjoy the most genuine, nostalgic taste of their childhood.

▲ "Summer Love" directly uses half a honeydew melon as the ice base—a truly generous frozen treat indeed.
These crackers were even once selected as one of Taichung’s top ten souvenirs. In the shop, they’re also made into cones, beloved by many. Recently, the shop responded to this by shaping the crackers into egg rolls, allowing customers to enjoy the crackers in different forms and even take them home in boxes—a very thoughtful touch. Aside from the electric cooker ice, visitors can also try the "Summer Love" ice dessert, which uses half a honeydew melon along with ice cream and other toppings to keep your summer refreshingly cool.
