The most photogenic spot for influencers in 2018, the “Color Gallery Exhibition,” has opened at the Kaohsiung Museum of Science and Technology (KMST)! After drawing massive crowds and flooding Instagram in Taipei—with nearly 150,000 visitors—the exhibition has now moved south to Kaohsiung. It is on vibrant display from now until August 26th in the Special Exhibition Halls 4 and 5 of the National Science and Technology Museum.

This exhibition interprets 15 everyday scenarios using 15 different colors, and also features an exclusive Kaohsiung section—a stylized betel nut stand—whose bold, vivid design showcases the vibrancy of Southern Taiwan. Since opening, it has attracted many fans from southern Taiwan, with students coming in uniform, photography groups booking the space for portraits, and cosplayers dressing up in unique outfits. This year, the exhibition has also been successfully licensed for launch in Shenzhen, China, and will soon move to Zhengzhou, with future expansions planned for the United States, Japan, and beyond.

The “Color Gallery Exhibition” this summer takes color as its theme, reinterpreting 15 daily life scenes through 15 distinct hues. Each themed area features its own unique color palette, boldly challenging everyday stereotypes.

From the white bedroom you wake up in, to the pink walk-in closet where you get dressed, then the yellow breakfast shop for an energy boost, hop on the sea-blue metro to your destination, and continue your journey through a purple garden, an orange ice cream parlor, a vivid betel nut stand, and even a gravity-defying moonlit space—this is a dreamlike voyage.
