The largest summer travel event, the “2018 Taipei International Summer Travel Exhibition,” will be held from July 20 to July 23, 2018, at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. Michelin one-star Hong Kong eatery “Tim Ho Wan” and “Princess Cruises” are participating for the first time. Princess Cruises is also offering exclusive fair discounts, including up to NT$10,000 off per room or the second person half price on selected voyages/cabins.

Making its debut, Princess Cruises will host an on-site check-in and photo activity. Simply take a photo with Princess Cruises’ mascot “Stanley the Bear” at the event and upload it to qualify for a chance to win a limited-edition “bathrobe Stanley bear” plush toy. Additionally, Princess Cruises’ “Majestic Princess” will return to Keelung Port from April to July 2019, with new routes to both Japan and South Korea. Popular family-friendly “Sun Princess” cruises for summer vacations and the “Diamond Princess” offering an authentic taste of autumn and winter Japanese style will each present exclusive fair deals with a choice of two great offers: up to NT$10,000 off per room or the second person half price on selected voyages/cabins.

Tim Ho Wan, which has received one Michelin star in Hong Kong for nine consecutive years, is also offering exclusive deals during its first participation. The “Travel Exhibition Super Value Cash Voucher” is available at a minimum discount of 22% (up to 78% of the original price), with savings of up to NT$12,000; the travel exhibition exclusive combo “Michelin Classic Set Coupon” features a selection of the top 7 popular dishes, including XO Sauce Chinese Sausage Fried Rice, Crispy BBQ Pork Buns, Pan-Fried Radish Cake, Shrimp Siu Mai, Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, Shrimp Skin Rolls, Mango Pomelo Sago, and Job’s Tears Tea. The travel exhibition price offers a minimum of 22% off (up to 78% of the original price), with savings of up to NT$5,960. Tim Ho Wan will also premiere its Taiwan-exclusive, chef-prepared “Premium XO Sauce Gift Box” at the fair, featuring carefully selected precious small pearl clams and premium golden hook shrimp. Originally priced at NT$498, it is available at a special price of NT$450.

During the event period, the organizers will also launch activities such as the “800 Red Packets Giveaway,” “Visit and Register to Win Big Prizes,” “Spend and Get Lucky,” and “Enjoy Food at the Travel Exhibition.” The first 200 eligible visitors who queue up before 10:00 AM each day at the event area can receive a number card and, with that number card, get a free red packet containing various great gifts such as round-trip tickets to Japan, travel accessories, and premium accommodation vouchers. In addition, visitors with any type of ticket can receive a QR code; scanning the QR code and filling out the online form gives them a chance to win round-trip tickets to Hong Kong, accommodation vouchers, or brand-name suitcases.

Additionally, those who spend a cumulative total of NT$10,000 (inclusive) or more on shopping receipts, invoices, or bills on the day of the fair can exchange them for a lottery ticket at the event gift area. Each person can exchange for a maximum of one ticket and may have a chance to win selected accommodation vouchers, meal vouchers, travel accessory sets, and even the grand prize of a round-trip ticket to South Korea. Those who spend a cumulative total of NT$3,000 (inclusive) or more on “food and local specialties” on the day of the fair can also exchange their shopping receipts, invoices, or bills for a lottery ticket at the event gift area. Each person can exchange for a maximum of one ticket and can win food meal vouchers, local specialty gifts, or accommodation vouchers.
