China's Civil Aviation Administration recently demanded that foreign airlines rename Taiwan as "Taiwan, China" on their official websites on a large scale, and all 44 foreign airlines have now made the change. The Ministry of Transportation is planning countermeasures in response, targeting foreign airlines that add "China" to the name of Taiwan, imposing penalties such as not allowing jet bridge access and adjusting time slots, which has also sparked much discussion.

The Ministry of Transportation is considering penalizing airlines that remove "Taipei, Taiwan" and rename it as "Taipei, China" on their official websites, including measures such as remote parking without jet bridge access and studying time slot adjustments. Meanwhile, for airlines that remove "Taipei, Taiwan" but retain "Taiwan" without listing "China," reward measures such as maintaining close parking, reducing landing fees, and waiving facility usage fees are being offered.

The penalty measures drafted by the Ministry of Transportation have raised many questions, as it is believed that this will not only force passengers to walk from the tarmac to the airport terminal with their luggage, but will also cause inconvenience for disabled individuals, the elderly, the weak, women, and children traveling by air.
