Typhoon No. 18, Pulasan, has weakened into a tropical depression, while another tropical depression with a pressure of 1002 hPa, located at 13°N, 154.5°E—east of Guam—is moving west-northwest at 15 km/h and shows potential to develop into a mild typhoon.

Over the weekend, affected by the southwest monsoon, central and southern Taiwan will experience brief showers or thunderstorms with localized heavy rain. Other regions, as well as Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu, will have localized brief showers or thunderstorms, with possible localized heavy rain in the afternoon. Apart from the outlying islands, the Central Weather Bureau has issued a heavy rain alert for all of Taiwan—carry rain gear when going out.
