A breathtaking sea of lights at night – a romantic must-see scene during Valentine’s period limited decorations.

The 2018 Yilan Valentine's event was held from August 17 to 19 at the “Anrongxi Flood Diversion Weir Scenic Area,” featuring a series of activities all day and late into the night over three consecutive days, drawing a record-breaking attendance of over 120,000 visitors. Among them, the light sculpture decorations received high praise. The Yilan County Government decided to extend the light sea display until August 31 to allow more people to enjoy it.

The beautiful Qixi Festival light decorations at Anrongxi Flood Diversion Weir feature the Magpie Bridge as the centerpiece. The 100-meter-long Pink Bridge at Anrongxi was chosen as the Magpie Bridge, adorned with vibrant and dazzling lights. Lights were also installed along the bridge, park walkways, and green trees along the waterfront, while the lakeside lawn was decorated with galaxy-like starlight and the lake surface lit up with an azure glow, offering visitors a romantic Qixi Festival ambiance.

The Valentine's light sea decorations in the event venue have been extended until the end of August. Aside from the floating stage on the creek and the auxiliary bridge of the Magpie Bridge being removed, most of the lighting will continue to be used. The lights will be turned on every evening at 6 PM and remain lit until midnight at 12 AM.
