Starting September 5, the permanent R11 Kaohsiung Station of the Kaohsiung MRT, co-located with the new Taiwan Railways Kaohsiung Station, will be in operation, while the original temporary station will close at the same time.

The new entrance is a covered walkway. Pass through the covered walkway, then go under the station canopy to reach the underground first-floor concourse. After arriving at the concourse, enter via Exit 2 of Kaohsiung MRT Station to proceed to the underground third floor for boarding.
