The center of Typhoon Mangkhut is located at 12.8°N, 165.5°E, which is 740 kilometers south of Wake Island (4,860 kilometers southeast of Eluanbi). It is moving northwestward at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour. The maximum wind speed near the center is 18 meters per second (equivalent to 65 kilometers per hour), corresponding to force 8 winds.

On Saturday and Sunday, affected by a frontal system and strengthened northeast monsoon, the weather will be unstable. The northern and northeastern parts of Taiwan will see slightly lower temperatures, along with showers or thunderstorms, and there is a chance of localized heavy or torrential rain. The eastern, southeastern regions, as well as Matsu, Kinmen, and Penghu, will have brief showers, while other areas may also experience localized brief showers. Please carry rain gear when going out.
