Continuing the tradition of Japan’s Universal Studios (USJ), the 2018 Halloween event runs from today until November 4. The 2018 Halloween event once again introduces a variety of brand-new, never-before-seen haunted attractions, and for the first time features three major highlights: “Halloween That’s Both Cute and Scary,” “Scream Halloween,” and “Adult Halloween!?”.

“Halloween That’s Both Cute and Scary” – Fun for the Whole Family All Day Long
Even Minions and other USJ friends will get a spooky makeover this year. The most anticipated attraction is the “Happy Trick or Treat,” where candy rains down like a fountain for kids to catch. In the evening, Universal Wonderland will host its first-ever nighttime parade, “Universal Spectacle Halloween Parade.” The parade features dazzling floats and costumes that bring the streets to life, allowing visitors to enjoy the cheerful atmosphere while watching the adorable characters dance joyfully. The large-scale stage performances also offer families a chance to experience the fun of Halloween together.
Zombies Evolve: A More Terrifying “Scream Halloween”
The iconic highlight of Universal Studios Japan’s Halloween event gets even scarier this year. The most terrifying zombies will take over the streets, creating a hellish scene. But when the music plays, they’ll hit the dance floor with everyone else, turning fear into fun. In addition, there are terrifying maze attractions where you’re chased by killers or demons, as well as mission-based mazes where your choices determine your fate—plenty of scream-inducing experiences to send chills down your spine.
An Unprecedented Experience: USJ’s “Adult Halloween”
Breaking new ground, Universal Studios Japan invites you into a dark and terrifying maze world where participants become part of the story. At “Hotel Albert,” you might witness an incident and become a character in the plot!? Or board the cursed, decaying ghost ship “Silence in the Ghost Ship.” While exploring various terrifying facilities, you can also enjoy a bar-themed horror world that immerses adults in a unique Halloween experience.
Horror House: Insidious Chapter 4: The Last Key
Based on the popular movie “Insidious Chapter 4: The Last Key,” this attraction lets you witness ghosts appearing in a spine-chilling environment.
