Must-see bright red persimmons in autumn — a golden spectacle under the strong autumn winds

Autumn has arrived, and the persimmons are turning red. From September to January each year, the strong "Cihang wind" of Hsinchu sweeps through, turning the persimmons at the Meinweijia Persimmon Cake Sightseeing Farm in Hsinpu into a sea of gold.

Yellow-orange persimmons fill the drying racks, breathing in the scent of sunlight as they bask in its warmth.

Each persimmon resembles a little golden ball, and through the unique "Cihang wind" and sun-drying process in Hanjing, these golden orbs magically transform into delicious reddish-gold persimmon cakes.

These lovely golden persimmons attract many visitors each year to take part in this autumn symphony of sight and taste. The baskets of golden persimmons laid out in the square have also become a favorite subject for autumn photography enthusiasts.

With the advancement of times, most persimmon cake producers now use electric ovens to make persimmon cakes, which results in lower energy loss and saves time and labor. However, Meinweijia in Hsinpu has long adhered to the century-old traditional method of making persimmon cakes, hoping to preserve this traditional delicacy and craftsmanship through the unique climate and geography of Hsinpu.
