Located near Shuwei Fishing Port, this mysterious shoreline boasts not only gorgeous, majestic sea views but also unique erosional rock formations. The awe-inspiring rock reefs, shaped as if by nature’s own hands, are truly breathtaking. Amidst the endless ocean, you’ll also spot the remarkable “Candlestick Islets.” One thing to note: visiting during high tide can be dangerous, so be sure to check the tide schedule before you go.

2. Shimen Cave

Shimen Cave is a magnificent natural sea-eroded cave. Once you step out of the cave, you’ll be greeted by vast seas and a pebbly, shell-strewn beach. There’s also an observation deck and a coastal walkway nearby. Strolling along the path while admiring the sea view and clearing your mind, all while enjoying the refreshing sea breeze—it’s pure bliss. During low tide, you might even spot intertidal creatures, including little crabs!

3. Hualien and Taitung Coast’s Shitiping

When visiting eastern Taiwan, the sea views are an absolute must-see. Shitiping is also a sea-erosion landform, showcasing a rich variety of features such as erosion platforms, erosion gullies, uplifted coral reefs, and sea cliffs, plus the unique “pothole” landscape. Here, you’ll find the stunningly azure Pacific Ocean and the natural artworks of eroded rocks. Sit on the rocks, gaze out at the beautiful blue sea, and let all your worries drift away.
