Typhoon Trami may cross through the entire Japanese archipelago, making it an even greater threat to Japan, which was hit by typhoons this summer, prompting the country to enter a state of alert.
Affected by the outer circulation of the typhoon, northern and northeastern Taiwan will experience showers, eastern areas will have brief showers, while other regions, as well as Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu, will be mostly cloudy to sunny with localized brief showers in mountainous areas in the afternoon; winds and waves will be strong across the island. Skies will gradually clear after Sunday, with scattered brief showers in Hualien and Taitung.
Another tropical depression with a pressure of 1004 hPa is located at 8°N, 149.5°E, in the waters southeast of Guam, moving northwest at a speed of 15 km/h, showing potential to develop into a mild typhoon.
