Hsinchu City has invested NT$600 million to renovate the century-old Hsinchu Park. One of the park’s highlights, the "Lichi Garden Area," has officially opened. The "Lichi Garden" restores the water’s edge landscape of the garden, expands animal habitat space, and emphasizes nature, greenery, and water-friendly design, while also preserving historic sites and old trees to recreate the scenic charm of Japanese garden architecture.

The park staircase is planted with 116 popular cherry blossom trees, continuing Hsinchu’s cherry blossom scenery. After the leaves fall this winter, the second phase of cherry tree transplantation will begin, allowing visitors to enjoy the beauty of cherry blossoms from different heights during the Cherry Blossom Festival.
The park design has been transformed into an open grassy slope, with a waterfall stream created using Lichi Pond as the source.
The entrance landscape staircase creates an open scenic view and an accessible grassy platform, reviving the century-old boulevard that connects culture and ecology.

The entrance landscape staircase of Hsinchu Park breaks through a 5.5-meter-high wall, creating a brand-new entrance image for the park. It connects to the Century Boulevard inside the park via Eighteen Peaks Mountain and serves as the terminal feature of Dongda Road. Considering the park’s natural ecological landscape, yellow-toned stone walls are used to guide visitors into Hsinchu Park.
The Century Boulevard entrance staircase features a 5.5-meter-high barrier wall and 48 steps, creating a spacious entrance image.
