The 16th Taichung Jazz Festival kicks off on October 21st for a 9-day celebration, gathering jazz musicians from across the globe for an unforgettable swing fest. Alongside the music, the venue also hosts a “Gourmet Carnival” and “Creative Arts Market,” attracting countless visitors each year for a relaxing holiday or post-work unwind—making it the perfect embodiment of Taichung’s city brand.

This 9-day musical extravaganza features 5 performance venues and a total of 51 shows. In conjunction with the Taichung Flower Expo launching in November, a floral-themed stage will be created. The main venue is centered around Civic Square, with a secondary stage set up midway along Caogu Dao, offering two distinct musical atmospheres and a richer program selection.
The Taichung Jazz Festival gathers top domestic and international jazz artists, filling Greater Taichung with a vibrant jazz atmosphere.
Each year, the festival invites exceptional jazz musicians and ensembles from around the world to join in the fun.
Food and creative stalls are zoned separately to ensure smoother traffic flow. Civic Square is surrounded by innovative creative booths, while Caogu Dao features local and international cuisines to tantalize taste buds. A street performer zone is also set up near Gongyi Road at Civic Square, hosting multiple street artist performances daily to create a more colorful, lively, and diverse jazz vibe.
The Taichung Jazz Festival draws huge crowds every year, with food and creative markets zoned separately for smoother navigation.
Beyond the main venues at Civic Square and Caogu Dao, international acts from the main stage will also perform in Taichung’s mountainous, coastal, and urban districts. Free tickets (limit 2 per person) can be collected one hour before showtime at each venue. This allows jazz fans across Taichung to experience the boundless charm of live jazz up close.
