Affected by the northeastern monsoon, the greater Taipei area (Taipei, New Taipei, and Keelung), as well as the eastern regions of Yilan, Hualien, and Taitung, will experience overcast and rainy weather during the weekend, with temperatures ranging between 21–24°C. Weather changes are significant, so extra care should be taken to stay warm when going out.
Other counties and cities will have mostly cloudy to sunny weather, with temperatures around 25°C.
The greater Taipei area and eastern regions will also see rainy weather for most of the coming week. Travelers planning trips should pay special attention to rain contingency plans and prepare rain gear and sufficient clothing.
In addition, the Central Weather Bureau has issued special weather warnings. There is a chance of localized heavy rain in Keelung’s northern coast, Yilan area, and the mountainous regions of Greater Taipei. With continuous rainfall, landslides and falling rocks are a concern in mountainous areas. Special heavy rain warnings have been issued for New Taipei, Taipei, Keelung, and Yilan.
