Located near the Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station, Qingtang Park is an urban recreational space and was one of the exhibition areas of the 2018 Taoyuan Land Art Festival, "Water Young Qingtang Park." The site features a total of nine installation artworks, among which a piece designed to resemble an airplane, titled "Taoyuan Airport No. 1," allows visitors to walk inside the artwork, creating the illusion of stepping into a time tunnel.

Although the 2018 Taoyuan Land Art Festival ended at the end of September, the exhibited artworks have remained in place for visitors to continue enjoying and enhancing the beauty of the city. Among them, "Taoyuan Airport No. 1" is particularly memorable. From a distance, the piece looks like an airplane that has landed in the city, making it very eye-catching.

"Taoyuan Airport No. 1" is built using steel, steel pipes, aluminum, and wood, combined with metal weaving techniques. The cabin is inlaid with suitcase-shaped elements, as well as aluminum panels printed with images of Taiwan and Taoyuan’s iconic scenic spots and representative works from previous land art festivals. It's as if taking a journey through "Taoyuan Airport No. 1" means traveling across all of Taiwan’s landscapes.

During the day, sunlight streams into the airplane interior, filling "Taoyuan Airport No. 1" with a dreamy white ambiance. Paired with colorful photos of scenic spots, the airplane becomes a white art gallery.
