Nestled between mountains and sea, Keelung — known as the "Rainy City" — is rich in cultural charm. Beyond its night markets and harbor, there are plenty of great spots perfect for couples or family day trips. You can visit all five of these attractions in one day and snap plenty of Instagram-worthy photos.

1.Valley of Serenity
The hidden gem of Wangyou Valley offers a breathtaking view from above, where lush green valleys help you forget all your worries. Walk along the Badaozhi Seaside Park trail and gaze at Keelung Islet across the water. At night, you can also enjoy the twinkling fishing boats on the sea and the illuminated streets of Jiufen Mountain Town.

2.Heping Island Park
Heping Island Park, once selected as one of the 21 most beautiful sunrise spots in the world, reopened in 2018 and has since become a popular destination for stunning seascapes and sunrises.阿拉宝湾 on Heping Island not only features unique "tofu rock" formations shaped by nature, but also distinctive erosional landforms — such as the "leopard spot" patterns that emerge during low tide.

3.Chaoying Park
From the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology to Chaoying Park, there are over 10 installations perfect for photos. With sweeping views of the blue ocean, it has become a hot spot for social media. Among them, the "Broom Savior" installed two years ago — conceived by a French artist — resembles a magical Harry Potter-style broomstick and still attracts many visitors for photos.

4.Zhengbin Fishing Port
Located south of Heping Island, it features picturesque scenery resembling Venice’s canals. Coupled with sunset views and the sight of the harbor mouth, it exudes a strong exotic atmosphere. The row of colorful buildings along the shore is particularly eye-catching. Once Taiwan’s largest port during the Japanese colonial period, it played a major role in Keelung’s fishing industry prosperity. In recent years, the government has actively transformed the port into a leisure and nostalgic tourism hub, recreating the harbor’s vibrant past in new ways.
