Located in Taoyuan, Fenghe Park is a popular IG check-in spot. Numerous driftwoods are gathered together, creating a desolate yet otherworldly atmosphere. Though they appear to be placed haphazardly, one can still see how the artists have designed and stacked them with themes and soul—making it a go-to place for unique and cool photos.

Originally a disaster-prevention park, Taoyuan City Government revitalized its landscape and leisure functions by planning facilities such as slides, accessible rest pathways, and an amphitheater, while also creating a waterfront greenbelt. The many driftwood artworks in the park are works retained in situ from the 2017 Taoyuan International Driftwood Art Festival.

The Driftwood Art Festival invited eight groups of artists from Russia, Hungary, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Using driftwoods that came from forests and down rivers, they created installation art integrating with nature under the theme concept of "the texture of the wind," with the urban green space serving as the basis for the park's layout.

With the concept of “an art museum without walls,” landscape art was created by blending the artists’ creations with nature. One particularly popular piece is “The Image of Life,” where driftwood is stacked to resemble a giant reborn from fire, bursting vibrantly through an enclosure.

There’s also “Heavenly Dish,” a giant vessel made of driftwood resembling an upward-opening bird’s nest, as if capable of receiving blessings from the sky and nature. Other works like “Gate of Time” and “Ivory Tower” are also very popular among visitors taking photos.
