Super cute murals that netizens must photograph—old dormitories transformed into a cultural and creative art village

Located next to Zhudong Railway Station, the Zhudong Cultural and Creative Art Village was transformed from old Taiwan Railways dormitory buildings. The architecture retains its original gray cement walls, while industrial-style elements have been added, giving the buildings in the art village a simple yet well-designed appearance presented to the public.

Throughout the art village, you can see cute murals in various styles, adding colorful accents to the gray buildings and also becoming one of the popular spots for photos and check-ins.

In addition to murals, there are also many installations scattered throughout the park—on trees, walls, and along pathways—adding a more vibrant and appealing atmosphere to the art village.

The Zhudong Cultural and Creative Art Village was primarily established to support artists and local youth in starting businesses. In addition to photography, the village also offers hipster-style cafes and restaurants that blend local culture, as well as cultural and creative product shops and art workshops that showcase the local charm of Zhudong. There are also frequent pop-up creative markets, live music performances, exhibitions, and other art-related events.
