The corporate pavilions at the “2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition” host numerous companies, among which AU Optronics has long been committed to practicing corporate social responsibility and engaging with society. It actively participated in the development of the “2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition” corporate pavilion, using Taiwan’s largest 556T LED display wall to present the exhibition theme “A Micro New Vision.” Visitors can delve into the fascinating world of plants.

In addition, it collaborates for the first time with the National Taiwan Museum, using microscopic images of plant pollen and seed specimens as creative materials. Utilizing cutting-edge panel display technology, the “AUO Micro Beauty Museum” was created. Peng Sun-long, Chairman and CEO of AU Optronics, said: “We hope this ‘AUO Micro Beauty Museum,’ built with advanced display technology and combining the beauty of technology and nature, will move and inspire everyone. By exploring the microscopic worlds of pollen and seeds, we can rediscover the wonders of nature and become more concerned about our environment.”

The exhibition showcases more than 30 uniquely shaped pollen micro-images, as well as nearly 70 common Taiwanese fruit and seed specimens, presenting the truth of biological movement through an aesthetic approach, which is sure to offer a refreshing experience.
Looking out from inside the pavilion, you’ll see lush greenery.
The exhibits in the “AUO Micro Beauty Museum” combine the botanical research expertise of the National Taiwan Museum and AU Optronics’ cutting-edge panel display technology. The museum uses 88 pieces of 55T high-definition, low-reflection, ultra-narrow bezel public information displays to showcase the vibrant and dynamic imagery of pollen and seeds. The National Taiwan Museum carefully selected common and representative plants in Taiwan through the collection, organization, and scanning of physical samples, providing nearly 10,000x magnified pollen micro-images as creative material.
AU Optronics also collaborated with a renowned Taiwanese production team experienced in ecological photography and ultra-high-definition post-production. Through plant micro-photography, time-lapse photography, ultra-high-definition aerial photography, and 3D pollen computer animation, they produced dynamic videos using various visual techniques.
