54 meters—the longest in northern Taiwan！Four colorful slides to open at Green Green Grassland on the 29th

The longest terrazzo slide in northern Taiwan officially opens on July 29th！Xinjiang City’s “Green Green Grassland Fun Recreation Facilities Improvement Project” includes not only path repairs, lighting installations, and the setup of a tap water system, but also features the longest terrazzo slide in northern Taiwan at 54 meters. Xinjiang Mayor Lin Chih-chien visited the construction site today (15th) to inspect progress, aiming to ensure that children and visitors of all ages can play safely and happily at Green Green Grassland.

Although Green Green Grassland is the largest playground in northern Taiwan and a popular destination for both locals and tourists, it lacked comprehensive children’s play facilities. In response, Xinjiang Mayor Lin Chih-chien applied to the Ministry of Transportation for funding, investing NT$22.5 million to design and build a children’s playground and birdwatching education area based on the mountain terrain. This includes four colorful terrazzo slides, as well as climbing nets for children and birdwatching treehouses. The slope angles, handrail heights, and safety distances of the slides all meet national safety standards for children’s playgrounds, allowing kids to have fun while building physical strength and creativity.
