“ZOJIRUSHI,” a Japanese appliance brand long beloved by Taiwanese consumers, made its first foray into the food and beverage industry in October this year by opening its very first ZOJIRUSHI Canteen on the 6th floor of Namba Skyo in Osaka.

With the concept of “delicious rice can be found here,” the canteen invited the highly popular Japanese culinary expert Yoshida Asako to serve as menu supervisor. Known for conducting cooking classes in both Tokyo and Osaka, she will design meals that are both delicious and healthy, allowing diners to choose their preferred type of rice.
All dishes in the store are meticulously designed by Yoshida Asako.
The rice options in the canteen include ZOJIRUSHI’s standard rice, white rice, and gold award healthy rice, all cooked using ZOJIRUSHI-brand rice cookers. The canteen also offers dine-in, takeout, and cooking class services. In addition to bento boxes, there is also coffee to help busy customers recharge.
The dining environment in the store is very bright and spacious.
The open space design is divided by a central island counter—one side sells the brand’s insulated cups and bottles, while the other is the dining area, allowing diners to browse items right after their meal.
The latte series in the store all feature ZOJIRUSHI’s cute elephant logo.
ZOJIRUSHI Canteen offers different lunch and dinner menus. At lunch, you can choose from basic salmon sets and hearty family-style meals, with the option to add fish dishes as sides. Dinner features set combos that include an aperitif, pickled vegetables, tender duck meat, fluffy rice, miso soup, desserts, and drinks—making for a truly sumptuous meal.
