This December, Chibi Maruko-chan brings a burst of adorable energy to Taipei’s Songshan Cultural and Creative Park for a magical dream adventure. In addition to revisiting beloved characters from the classic cartoon, the special exhibition transforms its scenes beyond the family and classroom, starting from a mysterious tree hole that serves as an entrance between reality and dreams, launching an incredible fantasy journey.

With her watermelon rind hairstyle, short bangs, red skirt, and white shirt, she is the iconic look of the long-running cartoon "Chibi Maruko-chan," beloved by both children and adults across Japan. The heartwarming interactions within the Maruko family and the joyful moments with school friends have created timeless cartoon memories.
Because "Chibi Maruko-chan" naturally yet profoundly depicts family bonds, friendships, and everyday life, this classic series—popular for over 30 years—has resonated deeply with people everywhere. Though the passing of its creator, Momoko Sakura, from breast cancer this summer shocked and saddened fans across Asia, Maruko’s innocence and bravery will forever accompany everyone who loves the series, offering lessons in optimism and growth.
The exhibition features five major dream zones: the Wondrous Corridor, Mount Fuji, the Underwater World, the Amusement Park, and the Fantasy Maze. Through dream exploration and multimedia interaction with Maruko, the adventure blends seamlessly with scenes from the animation.
