A military coup took place in Turkey on the evening of the 15th local time, and the country has entered a state of martial law. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country immediately announced that the travel alert level for Turkey has been raised to “red,” advising nationals not to travel to Turkey for the time being.

On the 15th, Turkey experienced a military coup, with rebel forces using tanks to block the two cross-sea bridges connecting Europe and Asia in Istanbul and Istanbul International Airport. All flights were grounded, and travelers were temporarily restricted from leaving the airport.

According to the latest reports, the Turkish government has announced that the coup has ended and rebels have been arrested. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has still raised the travel alert level.
