Taipei’s largest flower sea this year is located in the Guandu Plain — a secret cosmos field spanning 17,105 square meters, roughly equivalent to 41 basketball courts, filled with a romantic ambiance. It's perfect for dates, proposals, or girls' day out for photos.

This secret flower sea in the Guandu Plain was originally used for farmers to plant second-season ratoon rice. This year, it has been planted for the first time with cosmos, sunflowers, and giant zinnias, all of which can serve as green manure. The flower field is located next to the Guandu Baxian Pumping Station, close to a bike path. The vibrant blooms dance gracefully in the wind, leaving both passersby and those who come especially to see the flower sea completely amazed.

The Guandu flower sea secret spot first features seas of red, white, purple, and pink cosmos flowers. The blossoms sway gently in the cool breeze, resembling graceful young ladies smiling brilliantly under the sunlight.

The Guandu flower sea secret spot is located near the Baxian Pumping Station at Lane 401, Section 7, Chengde Road, Beitou District, Taipei City. As the weather cools, sunflowers and giant zinnias will also bloom one after another. The entire flower sea viewing period lasts until before Lunar New Year next year.

It is recommended to take the public Da-Nan Bus No. 21 or cycle along the Guandu Bike Path to get there. From the secret flower sea, you can overlook Guanyin Mountain and the Guandu Plain, while also enjoying the beautiful riverside scenery of the Tamsui River — making it a great holiday getaway spot.
