In 2017, World Pour Over Coffee Champion Chad Wang opened his first personal coffee brand concept store, “VWI by CHAD WANG,” in Taipei. Although it is still in its trial operation phase, the stream of visitors coming to pay homage has been nonstop.

After winning the 2017 WCE World Cup Tasters Championship, Chad Wang planned to open his own café. Though sought after by various countries, he chose to open his first store in Taiwan because he believes that having represented Taiwan in the competition, his first store should also start from Taiwan. The concept store is located opposite Breeze Center on Fuxing South Road.
Every corner of the store is filled with a sleek and minimalist atmosphere.
The store adopts an extremely minimalist and quality-focused style. The bar area on the first floor does not offer seating, allowing customers who enjoy watching the baristas' pour-over process to stand at the bar counter and interact with them. Luckier visitors might even catch Chad Wang brewing coffee at the bar.
The minimalist style is visible throughout the store.
The store also sells coffee beans, coffee cups, drip bags, and other coffee-related products. The minimalist interior design makes every corner highly photogenic. The second floor provides long tables where guests can leisurely enjoy the café’s coffee and desserts.
Even the brand logo is extremely minimalist.
If you’re unsure which coffee to choose when visiting the store, you can ask the baristas for recommendations. They will introduce the flavor profile of each type of coffee bean and help you select the one that suits your personal taste preferences.
