Currently, two tropical depressions may develop into mild typhoons (the 28th expected typhoon is forecasted to be named Wanyi). Tropical Depression 1004 hPa is over the sea surface southeast of the Philippines, moving west at 30 km/h. Tropical Depression 1000 hPa is over the sea surface southeast of Guam, moving northwest at 20 km/h. Both have the potential to develop into mild typhoons.

From the daytime of the 20th to the 21st, the northeast monsoon weakens and temperatures rise. Most areas in Taiwan, as well as Penghu and Kinmen, will experience mostly cloudy to sunny weather, with only localized brief showers in the eastern half of the island, northern mountainous regions, and Matsu.

Starting from the evening of the 21st, as a frontal system passes and the northeast monsoon strengthens, the weather in the north and northeast will be cooler, and other regions will also be cooler in the morning and evening. Be mindful of the temperature difference. Localized brief showers are expected in northern Taiwan, the eastern half of the island, and Matsu and Kinmen. There will also be scattered brief showers in central Taiwan and the mountainous areas of the south, while other areas and Penghu will have mostly cloudy weather.
Meanwhile, Saturday coincides with the Nine-in-One election voting day. The current weather forecast indicates that, aside from rain over the eastern part of Keelung Islet, the rest of Taiwan will experience mostly cloudy to sunny weather with relatively low temperatures. The lowest temperatures in Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, central Taiwan, and southern regions could drop to 18–19 degrees Celsius, so remember to stay warm.
