This year’s Christmas light display area is specially located on the lawn of Central Park next to Yilan County Government. The main goal is to attract more visitors to the county government office through this event, in line with the original design concept of the county government space—encouraging public access—and to bring the government closer to the people. In addition, the comfortable space of Central Park also provides an ideal setting for photos and Instagram-worthy moments.
The “Magical Christmas” installations are designed based on the concept of “surreal visuals.” The “Magical” part represents the extraordinary, brought to life through art installations such as the Smiling Old Tree, Elves, Angels Gone Wild, Sugar-Eyed Kiwi Birds, and the Magical Christmas Tree, while the “Fantasy” aspect symbolizes dreams, featuring installations like the Secret Passage, Starlight Corridor, Forest of Light, Towering Holy Light, and Dream Drifting.

Additionally, a Children's Joy Plaza has been specially designed for kids, featuring glowing swings, seesaws, and a carousel. These elements fill every corner with a strong Christmas atmosphere and joyful laughter, transforming Yilan County Government into a “Christmas Village” where visitors can experience a holiday full of wonder, magic, joy, and local charm.
